CaseBuddy
Cookies Policy
Last updated 16 May 2026
Please read this cookie policy carefully as it contains important information on who we are and how we use cookies on our Website. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which sets out who we are, how to contact us, what data we collect, how and why we collect, store, use and share personal information generally, as well as your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact the supervisory authority if you have a complaint.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file which is placed onto your device (e.g. your computer, tablet or smartphone) when you use our Website. In addition to cookies, we use related browser technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage. In this policy, references to "cookies" should be read as covering those browser-storage technologies as well.
Cookies and browser storage help us to recognise you and your device and allow us to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as your light/dark theme, your timezone, and your saved progress on a case), and process your subscription payments securely.
CaseBuddy is a paid subscription platform, not an ad-funded one. We do not currently run any third-party advertising trackers or advertising pixels on the Website, and we do not currently run third-party web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or the Meta Pixel. The technologies described in this policy are limited to what we need to deliver the Services you have asked for.
For further information on our use of cookies, including a list of the cookies and browser storage we use, please see the table below.
For further information on cookies generally, including how to control and manage them, visit the guidance on cookies published by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
Consent to use cookies and changing settings
We will ask for your consent before placing any non-essential cookies or similar technologies on your device. We do not currently use any non-essential cookies, so we do not currently show a cookie banner. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future (for example, third-party analytics or advertising tools), we will add a cookie banner so that you can give or withhold your consent before any such cookie is set.
Cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for (for example, to keep you signed in, to process a checkout, or to remember your cookie preferences) do not require your consent under UK PECR. You can still block or delete them via your browser settings, but parts of the Website will not work if you do (see the section below).

How to turn off all cookies and consequences of doing so
If you do not want to accept any cookies or browser storage, you may be able to change your device or browser settings so that they are not accepted. If you do this, please be aware that you will lose functionality of our Website: for example, you will be signed out of your CaseBuddy account, your saved progress on cases will not load, and you may not be able to complete a checkout.
